What Is Integrative Nutrition?
Integrative Nutrition is a specialized discipline that brings together traditional and western diet theories and practices, with what is sometimes considered Alternative or Integrative nutrition. It focuses on prevention through nutrition, diet, and exercise; use of the latest laboratory testing and botanical medicines, supplements, therapeutic diets and detoxification programs; and stress-management techniques.
Functional and Integrative lifestyle nutrition gives importance to the right quality of food and supplementation to address clinical imbalances and to transform people to their healthiest state of being. Each diet is customized for a functional purpose in order to change the body inside out for optimum balance. Food is chosen wisely not just to fill the stomach and satisfy the taste buds, but also to heal the individual and cure the person from a disease which may have been caused due to the same food.
